So Many New Things...

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Having a very energetic toddler doesn't leave much time for things I want to do :) Ethan is doing great and is growing and growing. He is so much fun to play with and interact with now. He is running and climbing on EVERYTHING! Some days I think 'well today is the day we will be getting stitches' LOL but he has a very hard head. He is talking a little bit but thinks he can have an entire conversation with you. He will look at you with the most serious face and begin to babble. When he is done he is like what you didn't understand that?! It is too fun to just watch him play. I feel like he is starting to use his imagination when he plays as he is 'talking' to his toys and doing super cute things with them. Just the other day he had his train and was 'flying' it around like and airplane. He is at the point now where he knows when things are bad and he shouldn't be doing them. He loves to stand on his little ride on firetruck. He will put both feet on the seat and hold onto the handles until you look at him. Once he knows you are watching he smiles great big and will let go of the handles and stand up. When he doesn't hear "no-no Ethan" he gets upset that you didn't acknowledge that he was doing something bad and will just move on to something else. If you do say "no-no Ethan" then he will continue to do it. Smart little guy :) He is really into his puzzles right now too. He got 4 new puzzles for Christmas and has mastered 3 of them. He can do his Mickey Mouse puzzles, match his shapes and colors and put all of the car/trucks back in their correct places. I was very surprised at how well he knows exactly where things go. He can also pick out the certain colors and cars when you ask him. If you want the school bus he will bring it to you, if you ask for the blue circle he will bring it to you. If you can't tell I am one proud Mommy :) We are also working on some new sign language. He has known more and all done for a long time now but now we can say please and thank you. Our next words are help (for help me please instead of standing there and screaming) and share. He is not very good in the sharing department but what kid really likes to share his toys :) Well this is pretty much a quick overview of what all E is up to these days. I will really try to get some new pictures posted soon!

Baby No More

How is my baby boy no longer a baby? This last year has gone by so fast but I have loved watching Ethan grown and learn. He is so much fun to play with now and is talking all the time. Most of it is not understandable but he does say a several things: thank you, cracker, touch down (with arm motions of course), bye bye, daddy, ga ga (for grandma), balloon, quack quack and moooooo when asked how a cow goes. He will also sign more, all done, ball (sometimes) and fan. He is such a character and makes all kinds of silly faces too. He loves when I lay down on the floor to come lay his cheek on mine and just lay there. (Or climb all over me hehe)

We had a big 1st birthday party for Ethan on October 23rd. We had a great turn out and I think everyone had a good time! We had a cute monkey theme and all the kids wore their Halloween costumes! There were all so cute! Ethan of course loved is own little monkey cake and he dug right in! He really enjoyed having all of his family and friends here to play with. He got a lot of new clothes, toys and books and is loving them all. Thanks again to everyone for making his birthday special!

I'm sure there is so much more he is doing now that I am forgetting but I will just leave it at this for now. Below are some recent pictures of my little man!

11 Months Already

I can't believe my baby boy is 11 months old already! It makes me sad everyday thinking of how fast he is growing up. However, I get very excited knowing he is learning new things each and every day. He has mastered walking now and even standing up when he falls down. He used to have to crawl over to something to stand up but now he just pops right up! I might be a bit biased but Ethan is super smart these days. ;) He knows where his nose, ears and eyes are, plays pat-a-cake, blows kisses, waves and says bye-bye, and can sign more, all done, eat, ball, fan and light. I think that is all he signs ;) He will also tell you how a duckie goes, 'back back' as he says. He is so much fun to be around now as he is jabbering all the time and constantly on the move. He loves to pull the bread out of my bread drawer and put it back in (most of the time). Sometimes it gets stepped on in the process but oh well! Ethan loves to play outside now and go for rides in his waggon. He will kick his ball around outside and push his little toy car. For those of you who don't know our driveway is really steep, but Ethan thinks he must climb up it every day. Going up is no problem now he just can't walk down it (without rolling down half of it). I think that is about all of his new stuff for now. I will try to get some new pictures up soon! Everyone have a great October!

It's Been a While

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Ethan has learned to do so much in the last month. I think the biggest change is we are officially walking now!!!! He took his first steps on August 5th and things haven't been the same since :) Ethan has also had his first real sickness :( We had about 4 days of a fever then all of a sudden the fever was gone and he had a rash. Good thing I was warned about the rash or I probably would have been really worried. Just good ole Roseola that most kids get and it completely harmless. He was a trooper though and dealt with the sickness really well. We are now up to 5 teeth (the 6th is almost through too) and are no longer eating baby food! It is a lot of fun that he eats table food but makes my meal time cooking decisions much harder as I have to make something that he can eat too! Ethan has been spending a lot of time with some of his friends and is loving every minute of it! We went to visit cousin Bryson and Nolan and Ethan just loved to follow Nolan everywhere! He gave him lots and lots of hugs too! We have also had some friends staying with us off and on as they are preparing to move to Peoria. They have a little girl one month younger than Ethan and they get along so well! Ethan is quite the chatter box these days but still no mama :( I guess it will come soon enough then I will wish he didn't know how to say it :) For now I will just enjoy all that he can say and do as he is growing up way too fast! Below are just a few of the pictures I have taken lately! Enjoy!

9 MONTHS!

My baby boy is 9 months old today! He is so full of energy and is so much fun to play with. He will now willingly hand over his pacie (pacifier) if you ask him as well as anything else he has in his hands. I will enjoy this while it lasts :) He is such a smiley little guy and knows exactly what the camera is now! We took him to the Prairie Air Show on Saturday and he really seemed to like it. It was a little loud but would watch all the planes in the air. He now has two bottom and one top tooth with another on top on its way. I think that is about it for now. Here are some pictures from the last few days!

My busy little boy

Ethan is one busy little guy these days. We have a few things "blocked" in our house such as our fireplace and our TV stand. He is learning how to get around our barricades and get to these things with much ease! Just the other day I was cleaning in the kitchen and he was playing on the tile (which he loves to do for some reason). It was suddenly very quite so I looked over and he was playing with a live spider on the floor. He would poke at it and watch it move then poke some more. I couldn't help but laugh but it was still YUCKY!!! We also have our pack-n-play set up in our living room and he thinks he can crawl under it. He gets his head under but then gets stuck. He has also learned that he can crawl over his car seat and does this with much ease now too. Little stinker! He is so much fun just to watch as he tries to figure new things out!

He is a master crawler now and is "cruising" along anything he can pull up to. He likes to walk with his walker too and will now stand unassisted. I think walking is just a few weeks away! Ethan is also a big talker. He loves to talk to his food as he eats. He will hold a piece of food out in his hand and just jabber jabber jabber. It is too cute! He has mastered Dada and Baba and if you ask him where his ball is he will crawl over to it and say Ba Ba Ba! He is just growing up too fast for us but we are loving to watch him learn all kinds of new things!

Vacation!

We had a great time in Myrtle Beach, SC last week! It was a long drive but Ethan did well. Thank goodness for Barney! I can now recite every word in 3 different Barney episodes LOL! It was well worth the drive though. It was a wonderful relaxing week with the family. Not only was it Bipin, Ethan and I, but my mom, dad, brother and the Houdasheldts went also. Ethan loved loved loved the sand and ocean! He only ate a couple handfuls of sand too! He wasn't to fond of the big waves crashing up on him at first but after a while he enjoyed it! Overall it was a great first vacation for the Bhosale family!

One of my favorite pics of Ethan (not my back though LOL)
Such a big boy standing in the sand and water
He loved to chew on his shovel!
