Much Needed Update

Wow! It has been almost 6 months since my last update on here. I guess time just flies when you are having fun! Ethan is growing and changing so much and is so much fun to play with. He is talking in 2-3 sometimes more word sentences so life has become much easier in that aspect. He is constantly on the go and doesn't like to sit still unless it is to watch Cars or Fishy (Nemo) or Ohhh Ohhh Ahhh Ahhh (Curious George).

This spring we got a new swing set for the back yard and it has paid for itself 3 times over already. Uncle Gabe came over and Grandpa and Grandma flew up on Memorial day to help put it together. It has been used almost everyday since then (weather permitting). E will ask every day to wing and wide (swing and slide) and it is so hard to say no to him when he asks ;) We also went to Disney World in the spring and E LOVED that too. He was really into Mickey and the gang then and it was perfect timing for us to go. He enjoyed all the rides he was able to do and even loved to see the characters. All in all it was a great vacation for us all!

Over the summer we have visited the Peoria Zoo many many times just as a family and with some local friends who have kids the same age as E. We have many play dates with our friends too so E has been very busy this summer. We spent a lot of time in the back yard playing in the pool and sprinklers and E learned how much fun it is to drink from the garden hose :) Overall we have had a very fun and relaxing summer.

Now as we head into fall and E is about to turn 2 we have a lot to look forward to. Starting in November he will begin pre-school two mornings a week. I am a little nervous how he will do in the beginning with me leaving (he is very attached) but I know he will learn to love it and have a great time. I don't know what I will do with all my new free time once that begins :) He has already hit his Terrible Twos with full force as we are beginning to have to dicipline more and more and see many many tantrums. He can be very cunning when he wants to be so he is keeping us on our toes every day! Overall he is just an AMAZING little boy and is the Joy and Love of my life. I just can't believe in just over a month he will be 2 years old. I just don't know how he has grown so fast but I really wish I could slow time down. He just really isn't a baby anymore (even though he will always be MY baby).

Well this was a quick update as to what the Bhosale's have been up to this summer. Hopefully I can do better about keeping up on my posts this fall!

Photos by Lyndsay!

My friend Lyndsay took some pictures of Ethan yesterday. He will be 18 months on the 26th so I thought this was a good chance to get some new pictures of him. He is growing up way to fast. Lyndsay did an AWESOME job despite Ethan not really wanting to cooperate with us. Here are a few she got from the session :) Thanks again Lyndsay! My big boy!

Fun in the Snow!

We were finally able to get out and enjoy what was left of the 16 inches of snow we got before it all melted! We took Ethan sledding down our 'hill' that is our front yard. It was just the perfect size for him as he loved it! He would laugh and laugh the whole way down! By the time he reached the bottom he was asking (by sign language) for more more more! He didn't want to go inside but we finally just had to pick him up and go in!

This is one of my favorites from the day!

More daddy more!

That was really fun!

So Many New Things...

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Having a very energetic toddler doesn't leave much time for things I want to do :) Ethan is doing great and is growing and growing. He is so much fun to play with and interact with now. He is running and climbing on EVERYTHING! Some days I think 'well today is the day we will be getting stitches' LOL but he has a very hard head. He is talking a little bit but thinks he can have an entire conversation with you. He will look at you with the most serious face and begin to babble. When he is done he is like what you didn't understand that?! It is too fun to just watch him play. I feel like he is starting to use his imagination when he plays as he is 'talking' to his toys and doing super cute things with them. Just the other day he had his train and was 'flying' it around like and airplane. He is at the point now where he knows when things are bad and he shouldn't be doing them. He loves to stand on his little ride on firetruck. He will put both feet on the seat and hold onto the handles until you look at him. Once he knows you are watching he smiles great big and will let go of the handles and stand up. When he doesn't hear "no-no Ethan" he gets upset that you didn't acknowledge that he was doing something bad and will just move on to something else. If you do say "no-no Ethan" then he will continue to do it. Smart little guy :) He is really into his puzzles right now too. He got 4 new puzzles for Christmas and has mastered 3 of them. He can do his Mickey Mouse puzzles, match his shapes and colors and put all of the car/trucks back in their correct places. I was very surprised at how well he knows exactly where things go. He can also pick out the certain colors and cars when you ask him. If you want the school bus he will bring it to you, if you ask for the blue circle he will bring it to you. If you can't tell I am one proud Mommy :) We are also working on some new sign language. He has known more and all done for a long time now but now we can say please and thank you. Our next words are help (for help me please instead of standing there and screaming) and share. He is not very good in the sharing department but what kid really likes to share his toys :) Well this is pretty much a quick overview of what all E is up to these days. I will really try to get some new pictures posted soon!

Baby No More

How is my baby boy no longer a baby? This last year has gone by so fast but I have loved watching Ethan grown and learn. He is so much fun to play with now and is talking all the time. Most of it is not understandable but he does say a several things: thank you, cracker, touch down (with arm motions of course), bye bye, daddy, ga ga (for grandma), balloon, quack quack and moooooo when asked how a cow goes. He will also sign more, all done, ball (sometimes) and fan. He is such a character and makes all kinds of silly faces too. He loves when I lay down on the floor to come lay his cheek on mine and just lay there. (Or climb all over me hehe)

We had a big 1st birthday party for Ethan on October 23rd. We had a great turn out and I think everyone had a good time! We had a cute monkey theme and all the kids wore their Halloween costumes! There were all so cute! Ethan of course loved is own little monkey cake and he dug right in! He really enjoyed having all of his family and friends here to play with. He got a lot of new clothes, toys and books and is loving them all. Thanks again to everyone for making his birthday special!

I'm sure there is so much more he is doing now that I am forgetting but I will just leave it at this for now. Below are some recent pictures of my little man!

11 Months Already

I can't believe my baby boy is 11 months old already! It makes me sad everyday thinking of how fast he is growing up. However, I get very excited knowing he is learning new things each and every day. He has mastered walking now and even standing up when he falls down. He used to have to crawl over to something to stand up but now he just pops right up! I might be a bit biased but Ethan is super smart these days. ;) He knows where his nose, ears and eyes are, plays pat-a-cake, blows kisses, waves and says bye-bye, and can sign more, all done, eat, ball, fan and light. I think that is all he signs ;) He will also tell you how a duckie goes, 'back back' as he says. He is so much fun to be around now as he is jabbering all the time and constantly on the move. He loves to pull the bread out of my bread drawer and put it back in (most of the time). Sometimes it gets stepped on in the process but oh well! Ethan loves to play outside now and go for rides in his waggon. He will kick his ball around outside and push his little toy car. For those of you who don't know our driveway is really steep, but Ethan thinks he must climb up it every day. Going up is no problem now he just can't walk down it (without rolling down half of it). I think that is about all of his new stuff for now. I will try to get some new pictures up soon! Everyone have a great October!
