Look Alikes

The first day we had Ethan home from the hospital he was sleeping in his pack n play and I called mom over to see him. I couldn't believe how much he looked like Gabe. Mom agreed with me and was finally able to get to some of Gabe's baby pictures. I couldn't believe the resemblance between Ethan and Uncle Gabe. I thought I would share a couple of the pictures where they are making similar faces.

2 Months Old

Ethan had his 2 month doctors appointment as well as shots this week. At his doctors appointment yesterday the doctor gave him a good bill of health. She referred to him as long and lean as he is 11 lbs and 24 inches long. My mom said Gabe and I were both this way when we were babies. Ethan was so good while with the doctor; he even smiled at her! Today we took him to the health department to get his first set of shots. He had one oral vaccine and 3 shots. I had him in my lap as the nurse was getting ready to give him his shots and suddenly felt like I couldn't hold him. By this point it was too late to switch and I just had to suck it up. Ethan got his first shot and did pretty good. He didn't really know what to think of it. It was the second and third shots that really made him mad. He cried for a bit but as soon as I snuggled him up to me and fed him a little he calmed down and went to sleep. So far he is still doing good but he is napping now. They said the one shot will make his leg sore so I am hoping it doesn't bother him too much. Overall though he did excellent and daddy and I couldn't be more proud!

Ethan's First Christmas

Big Boy Chair

Ethan has been really good at holding his head up so we thought we would try out his Bumbo chair. He was really into it for about 2 minutes then was done and wanted out right then. He did let us get a couple good pictures though!
When ever I am near he won't take is eyes off me. He has to make sure his mommy isn't going anywhere.

Something must have been funny to him because he wouldn't quit laughing!

Finally he looked at daddy and the camera. Right after this picture though he had had enough of his seat!

I just had to add this one. Daddy says this is a sign of a real man just laying around with his legs spread apart :-)

Cute New Hat

Ethan went on his first outting last night that didn't involve a visit to see family. My friend Kim from CAT had a little Christmas party so we thought we would take Ethan. She has a little boy who is 6 months old and it is so fun to see them together. Another friend of mine from CAT made this little reindeer hat for Kim's little boy but it was too big for him. She decided it would fit Ethan much better so now he has a new hat for Christmas! I just love it!

When I Grow Up...

My little peanut is finally into Big Boy clothes! When he was born we only had 3 newborn outfits (I was really not expecting such a small fry but was thankful for it during delivery) so daddy had to go out and buy him some new clothes to wear. Well it has been 6 weeks now since daddy's shopping trip and he is finally able to where his 0-3 outfits! Grandma stopped in Tuscola on her way up last weekend and got him some more new clothes! I just love the little "I wanna be a Fireman when I grow up" outfit. He wears it with pride for Grandpa Tony!

His new favorite place to nap is all snuggled in his boppy pillow. I thought it was too cute how he had his hands folded over the blanket.

Have I Grown?

My friend Lyndsay took pictures of her little girl at different stages in her swing and then posted them later as a comparison. I thought that was a great idea so I thought I would do the same (thanks Lyndsay!) Below are a couple pictures of Ethan in his swing. When he was first born he really didn't like his swing at all. Now he really enjoys to swing and it usually puts him right to sleep!

Thanksgiving

So much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! I have such a wonderful husband and the best little boy anyone could ask for! I am so thankful to have them both in my life as well as all of our extended family and friends! We spent thanksgiving day with Bipin's family this year and had a wonderful time. Bipin's sister Chetna had a little girl one month before Ethan was born so it is funny to see how much they both are changing. Below are some pictures from the gathering.

First Real Bath

We were finally able to give Ethan a real bath and he didn't know what to think at first but then he liked it. I'm glad he did because he really didn't enjoy his sponge baths at all. Below are some pictures from the big night!
