My Big Boy!

My baby is half a year old already! I can't believe how fast time is going by. He is going to be 1 before I know it. Ethan is really really wanting to move and I think it will only be a matter of time before he figures it out. He can now sit up all by himself which makes it nice because he can sit and play with his toys finally! We had his 6 month check up yesterday and the doctor said he is a healthy little boy! He is still long and lean but still growing! We have been doing solids (aka baby food) for some time now and will be starting to learn to use a sippy cup now too! I am very excited for summer to start swim classes and just be outside to play! I think that is about it for now. Below are some recent pictures of Ethan!

Getting So Big!

I finally took another picture of Ethan in his swing for a size comparison. I forget how little he was when he was born until I see these pictures. I just can't believe how fast he is growing up :(

One Happy Boy!

Ethan is such a happy boy and a real joy to have around. He is smiling and laughing all the time now and I just love it! He is working on wanting to crawl but just hasn't figured it out yet. He will in no time though! Time to start baby proofing! Well here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks!

4 Month Check-up

Ethan had his 4 month check up on March 2nd and is doing great! He weighed in at 13 lbs 4 oz and was 26 inches long. Again the doctor referred to him as long and lean but very healthy! She was very impressed with how much he is doing. He stood up like a big boy for her, raised his head very high while on is tummy, showed her how he can hold his own toys and pass them from hand to hand and of course gave her a lot of smiles! Bipin and I both are very pleased with his doctor so far and Ethan really seems to like her. We also took him the same day and had his 4 month shots. Ethan took them like a champ again. Just like last time the first one didn't bother him but the second and third shots really upset him. He screamed for a short time but then calmed down and was his normal self again. We have also started Ethan on solids! We did several days of cereal and are now onto veggies. First off, CARROTS!! The first bite is always a bit interesting but after he gets over that he really likes them! Next up, GREEN BEANS!!!

I can't believe he is almost 5 months old already. He is growing up so fast and changing each and every day. We are all very ready for spring so we can go on walks outside! We are also getting a season pass to the Peoria Zoo this year so Ethan and I can go walk and see the animals during the day. He loves animals so much I think he will really like the zoo! We also got our family vacation all booked and are very excited for Ethan's first trip to the beach! I'm sure he will love it as he will be 8 months when we go! I have a feeling he will love eating the sand as everything goes straight to the mouth! I will try to post some new pictures of him soon!

So Many New Things

Ethan has started to do so many new things just in the last couple of weeks! He is now rolling over from his back to his tummy!!! He started to roll from his tummy to his back several weeks ago but now that he can roll the other way he gets on his tummy then gets mad because he doesn't "remember" how to roll back over! Grandpa tried to teach him again when we were there over the weekend but he wasn't a very good student as he didn't learn anything :) He is holding his head so high when he is on his belly and it is really cute how he kicks his feet while laying on his belly watching TV (yes I have a TV junkie already!) He smiles now for everyone! He is such a flirt! I was getting the oil changed in the car yesterday and he was flirting will all the ladies at the dealership! I am going to have a handful in a few years! He is also laughing a lot now! I love to hear his laugh but every time he starts to laugh he gets the hiccups! I feel bad making him laugh when I know he will get them but I just can't resist that sound! I think that is about it for now. I will try to keep up with all the new things Ethan is up to but for now here is some recent pictures! Enjoy!

This is my cool new baseball hat mommy got me for this summer! We are both ready for some warm sunny weather! (Yes grandpa it is guitars!!!)
